The everlasting flower, and the oil the French call "liquid gold"
There is a plant the French call "immortelle" — the everlasting flower. The name is no accident: once cut, the flower does not wilt. It keeps its colour and shape for weeks, even months. Old folk wisdom saw a sign in this — if the flower doesn't fade, maybe it can help skin not fade so quickly either.
That same idea of infinity inspired our own name. Imoortalis carries the word "immortal" inside it — but look closely, and the two letters "o" in the middle aren't a coincidence: put together, they form the infinity symbol, ∞. It's no coincidence either that this symbol has neither a beginning nor an end — just like skincare isn't a one-time act, but a ritual repeated day after day, drop after drop. Every application is one loop of that symbol — small, but part of something that never ends.
Science has, in recent years, surprisingly confirmed this folk intuition about the everlasting flower. Helichrysum italicum (immortelle) is one of the rare plants that actually stimulates skin cell regeneration, not just covers up signs of aging. It's used for scar healing, calming skin prone to redness and rosacea, and reducing fine lines. The cosmetics industry ranks it among the most sought-after natural skincare ingredients.
The other ingredient enjoying a real moment on TikTok and among skincare experts this past year is grapeseed oil — a winemaking byproduct once simply discarded. Today we know it contains OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) — a group of antioxidants said to be up to 50 times stronger than vitamins C and E at neutralizing free radicals, the main culprits behind premature skin aging. Clinical studies show regular use helps reduce visible pores, balance sebum production, and improve skin elasticity — all while the oil remains remarkably light and absorbs quickly, without the greasy feel of heavier oils.
Interestingly, this is a combination that works on two different levels: grapeseed oil protects and nourishes the skin the moment it's applied, while immortelle encourages the skin's own long-term regeneration. One ingredient cares for the present, the other invests in skin's future.
You'll find exactly this combination — immortelle and grapeseed oil in one carefully balanced formula — in our Face Serum. Anyone who uses it cares for their skin on both levels at once: right now, and for the long run. A moment for you, into infinity.
